Ocean Displays gives Celtic Park a new look

In time for the opening game of the 2022/23 Scottish Football Season, the Ocean Displays team in Glasgow has just completed the installation of a complete banner wrap around Celtic Park, the home of the Scottish Champions.

The massive new display envelopes 3 sides of the stadium and comprises of 50 individual giant PVC mesh banners, each hung on a high tension bungee and wire system. This is Ocean Displays largest project to date.

Ocean Displays won the contract to produce and install the stadium wrap on a competitive tender replacing the previous display which they had supplied some 7 years previously.

Claire Scanlan, Director of Ocean Displays, said, “We have supplied all sorts of signage to Celtic and other Scottish clubs over the years and this latest project is testimony to our ability to deliver high quality work, on time and on budget. There are of course challenges in pulling together a job of such scale, but that’s what we do best.”

Marc Keenan, Managing Director at Ocean in Scotland, comments, “The Displays team are a source of great pride to us in Scotland. Not only do they deliver on large scale commercial contracts across the country, they also work closely with Ocean Labs, providing ‘in-house’ signage such as 3D elements on our Special Builds, whilst ensuring that our own Ocean Sites are maintained to ‘best-in-class’ standards”.

A spokesperson for Celtic said, “The banners at Celtic Park have become a great vehicle for us to project the ethos, history and values of our club and we are delighted with the newly installed design. The legendary Billy McNeill, our title winning captain Callum McGregor and a host of other iconic Celtic images now sit proudly on Scotland’s biggest football stadium, reflecting past and current success and all that is dear to the Club and our fans. The new look banners also incorporate a classic green and white hooped design to complete the new look at Celtic Park. The new designs have been warmly received by our supporters and we thank and commend Ocean on the quality and expertise of the installation.”
